Abstract
For more than thirty-five years, parents have turned to How to Talk So Kids Will Listen & Listen So Kids Will Talk for its respectful and effective solutions to the unending challenges of raising children. Now, in response to growing demand, Adele's daughter, Joanna Faber, along with Julie King, tailor How to Talk's powerful communication skills to parents of children ages two to seven.
Faber and King, each a parenting expert in her own right, share their wisdom accumulated over years of conducting How To Talk workshops with parents, teachers, and pediatricians. With a lively combination of storytelling, cartoons, and observations from their workshops, they provide concrete tools and tips that will transform your relationship with the children in your life.
What do you do with a little kid who won't brush her teeth?screams in his car seat?pinches the baby...refuses to eat vegetables?throws books in the library...runs rampant in the supermarket? Organized by common challenges and conflicts, this book is an essential manual of communication strategies, including a chapter that addresses the special needs of children with sensory processing and autism spectrum disorders.
This user-friendly guide will empower parents and caregivers of young children to forge rewarding, joyful relationships with terrible two-year-olds, truculent three-year-olds, ferocious four-year-olds, foolhardy five-year-olds, self-centered six-year-olds, and the occasional semi-civilized seven-year-old.

Being a good listener means much more than just hearing what is said with the ears. It is important to break down ALL of the components of listening, to teach your kids to listen with their eyes, hands, feet, brains, hearts - indeed their whole bodies!
Designed to stimulate discussions at home and at school about how we listen as a member of our family and in groups, Whole Body Listening Larry at Home teaches children with fun lessons wonderfully illustrated to bring the concepts to life.
This book can [be] read with ALL younger students by parents, teachers, etc. The book can be read with the child and the child can then read the book on his or her own, with siblings, friends, grandparents. Developed from years of using Whole Body Listening Larry to teach children in their practice, speech language pathologists Kristen Wilson and Elizabeth Sautter worked with illustrator Eric Hutchison to make their best lessons work for even the wiggliest child!

Abstract
With colourful illustrations and a rhyming narrative, this book is easy to enjoy with your child or share with your classroom. It is a great starting place to discuss the topic of worries with children, and remind them they are never alone with their troubles. By depicting the worries as an object, in the form of a dark storm cloud, this allows much younger children to understand and visualize worries. Children's imaginations are incredible tools to utilize when addressing and working through anxious thoughts. Enjoy sharing this book with the little ones in your life!

Abstract
"Stephen Porges is the world's leading expert on relating the autonomic nervous system, a neural system that oversees largely unconscious functions such as heart rate and respiration, to social behavior. He is also the creator of the groundbreaking polyvagal theory, which has been adopted by clinicians around the world and has provided exciting new insights into the way our autonomic nervous system unconsciously mediates social engagement, trust, and intimacy.
"This book presents, for the first time, a compilation of Porges's decades of research on the behavioral neurobiology of emotions, affect regulation, interpersonal social behavior, and other psychological processes that describe basic human experiences. Part of the Norton Series on interpersonal Neurobiology, it has startling implications for the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and autism." --From the dustcover

Abstract
When Natalie's little brother Evan Earl is born prematurely, he's earns the nickname Evan Early. No one can say for sure when Evan will come home from the hospital. To help her with this uncertainty, Natalie's father gives her a calendar to keep track of the days - each day that Natalie colors in is one day closer to the day Evan can come home. Natalie visits Evan in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and talks to the nurses about what they do, and her Mom explains how the tubes and machines are helping Evan to breathe and eat. As the days go by and become 'rainbow weeks' on Natalie's coloring calendar, she gets lonely and a little scared; her parents spend most of their time with Evan in the NICU. She finally gets upset by their neglect. Her Mom reassures her that they haven't forgotten about her. Natalie learns that, although her brother might always need special help and lots of attention, she can be a big help and teach him family traditions.

Abstract
Small But Mighty is a beautifully illustrated children's book written specifically for a mother to read to her premature baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Follow her journey as she cares for her baby in the NICU, experiencing the joy, grief and unconditional love that comes with the birth of a preemie.Every year, an estimated 15 million babies are born prematurely. They often require lengthy hospitalization that may result in speech and language delays later in life. Reading to preemies not only improves brain development, but may improve their vocabulary and reading proficiency as children and teens. Many NICU moms report feeling helpless. It can be weeks, or even months, before they?re able to participate in their baby's care. Reading "Small But Mighty" to their preemie in the NICU allows them to play an important role in their baby's long-term growth and development. And, as their preemie grows, this book serves as a reminder of the triumphant milestones accomplished in the NICU.
