Abstract
A Unique, hands-on SEL game using adorable, squishable characters. It includes 10 squishable, individually wrapped animal characters, 10 character description cards, and 42 situation cards that help children to explore and practice solving social and emotional issues using personal strengths.
Each individual squishy character has a unique personal strength. Choose one from the jar along with the card that describes this character. Then introduce this character by reading the card aloud. Next, randomly choose a situation card and read it. Then brainstorm how someone might handle this situation using that character?s strength. If they cannot think of a solution with that strength they can choose another squishable character that they think might work better.
