Superflex Superdecks are card games created to invoke your own superflexible thinking as you teach students to be more superflexible social thinkers. It's all about superflexibility! The game pack is a companion teaching tool to the popular Superflex Curriculum, which helps parents and professionals teach children ages 8 to 11 about social thinking, social regulation, and social problem solving.

The Superdecks are not an introduction to Superflex, and should only be used with students who are already familiar with the concept of being a Social Detective (introduced in the book, You Are a Social Detective), and are either working through or have completed the Superflex Curriculum. The games and activities provided prompt players to think about the powers of the characters, brainstorm which Unthinkable might appear in a situation, match strategies to characters, or Thinkables and Unthinkables, and use their social thinking in other superflexible ways.

It enables students to practice identifying Social Thinking concepts and Superflex characters to strengthen their self-regulation and superflexible thinking powers. This is not a stand-alone teaching tool, do not introduce this game until your students have completed You Are a Social Detective! and the Superflex curriculum.

Designed for 1 ? 10 players, ages 7-10+, plus an adult to lead/facilitate game play. (Since the game is designed with teaching in mind, it?s not recommended that students play the game without the adult facilitator.)

The Thinkables & Unthinkables Double Deck is the superflexible teaching tool you asked for to use with individuals who are learning about or have already been introduced to Superflex, the 14 original Unthinkables, and the newer characters, the Thinkables (first mentioned in our book, Social Town Citizens Discover 82 New Unthinkables for Superflex to Outsmart).

A Unique, hands-on SEL game using adorable, squishable characters. It includes 10 squishable, individually wrapped animal characters, 10 character description cards, and 42 situation cards that help children to explore and practice solving social and emotional issues using personal strengths.

Each individual squishy character has a unique personal strength. Choose one from the jar along with the card that describes this character. Then introduce this character by reading the card aloud. Next, randomly choose a situation card and read it. Then brainstorm how someone might handle this situation using that character?s strength. On a Saturday morning at the end of November 2008, a young family suffered the loss of two sons and the permanent paralysis of another as a result of an automobile accident. Rather than tear the family apart, the tragedy drew them closer and touched the hearts of people in and out of their Catholic community. The boys' father began writing to express the painful emotions he felt and the faith that supported him. These poems and reflections, though heart-wrenching, have been presented in the hope they may bring comfort to other victims of tragedy by witnessing to the healing and transforming power of faith, family and love.
