Abstract
Shared imagination is the ability to imagine what another person(s) is thinking, feeling, and/or pretending. Most young kids develop the ability to imagine or pretend together; it's the means by which they relate to the thoughts, feelings, and actions of others. Many children with social emotional learning challenges struggle with shared imagination, though, despite having a singular imagination. They are able to create imaginary worlds in their own minds, but can't easily imagine what another person is thinking or pretending. To share in what someone is imagining is complex processing!

We make a smart guess when we take what we observe and combine that with what we know. We consider the context/situational clues, people, their body language, tone of voice, etc. and make observations about who, what, and where we are. We then combine this information with our general knowledge about the way the world works coupled with any specific personal knowledge we have about the people around us to make a reasonable guess, prediction, or inference. By teaching students to make smart guesses, we help them learn to observe and become more aware of the world around them.

Flexible thinking has to do with being able to engage in a variety of thoughts or experiences while acknowledging that many different paths could get us to our desired destination. Stuck thinking can happen when we only consider our own singular point of view or insist on our own routine. It can also be the result of limited perspective taking and over focusing on details. A student who is unable to perceive the bigger picture may struggle to read other people's nonverbal intentions or understand what they mean by what they say.

Abstract
A clinical practice framework, the Hypotonia Wheel, was developed during an international project to support the development of intervention strategies for infants and young children with neuromotor disabilities in Guangzhou, China. This practice framework was developed to guide therapists' intervention choices to encourage the gross motor abilities of infants and children (0-3 years) exhibiting hypotonia and gross motor delays. The goal was to provide a practice framework that aligned with contemporary interest in activity-focused intervention approaches and that considered both a child's abilities and the influence of environmental context in the achievement of gross motor skills.
The Hypotonia Wheel and Guide may be useful for therapists, therapy students and early intervention providers who work with infants and young children with hypotonia. The process used to design the Hypotonia Wheel could be used as a template to develop intervention guidelines for other clinical conditions.
